GR® 441 – Volvic Loop: Hiking in the Heart of the Auvergne Volcanoes

The GR® 441, also known as the “Tour de la Chaîne des Puys,” is an iconic trail in the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Nature Park. From Volvic, you can easily reach the northern portion of this loop and enjoy a marked route through forests, lava flows, volcanic viewpoints, and traditional villages. An essential experience for hikers of all levels.
The start of the GR® 441 is directly accessible from Volvic, in the immediate vicinity of the Hôtel du Commerce. It is therefore the perfect base for hikers, offering a comfortable room, a good meal, and the possibility of hitting the trail again well-rested the next day.
